Organic Colloidal Minerals

The finest, purest and most complete organic, plant-derived minerals.

Imagine the awesome power of the sun harnessed into 77 organic minerals. The Body

Vital mineral range provides the most complete mineral supplements that can be obtained

anywhere. Our minerals are obtained from plants and are therefore truly organic.

Other than oxygen, the body must have a full spectrum of at least 70 minerals to experience

full health.  The problem however has been two-fold:

1. Minerals are disappearing out of the food chain - even organic vegetables only contain between fifteen and twenty- two minerals

2. The supplements we buy are only 5-10% absorbable. In other words, we are lacking in minerals.

Nobel Laureate Dr. Linus Pauling stated, "Every sickness, disease and ailment is linked to a mineral deficiency or imbalance". Since minerals govern 95% of the body’s activities, it makes sense to pay attention to achieving sufficient levels of dietary minerals. A daily one-ounce supplement of "77 Minerals" provides over 1,000 mg of a blend of approximately seventy-seven essential trace minerals.

More information:

According to science, the surface of the earth has changed significantly since its inception. One of these changes apparently occurred approximately 70 million years ago in an area, which is now known as Emery County, Utah, USA . Supposedly, a glacier or other cause of earth movement buried a large quantity of vegetative matter, which may have been a dense growth or a bog containing numerous plants. Today, this area of 1,000 acres entombs 30-foot thick strata of prehistoric humic vegetation. Basically, this humic matter is a prehistoric deposit of plants, which was or still is under great pressure from the earth. All of the moisture has been compressed out of the humus and what remains is nothing more than prehistoric plant derivatives.

…"These plant derived minerals have been sold to millions of customers since 1931"…

This prehistoric deposit was discovered in 1926. By 1930, trial and error tests revealed that minerals could be extracted from the humus with water through a natural leaching process. Continued tests over the years revealed that the humus contained numerous minerals, which are colloidal in nature (from plants) rather than normally recognised metallic minerals, which come from ground up rocks and soil. These plant-derived minerals have been sold to millions of satisfied customers since 1931. This 64-year track record of high reorders and customer satisfaction convinced the present owners to introduce this great mineral supplement to the retail market in 1984.

…"It is one of the purest and most natural products on earth"….

The prehistoric plant humus is excavated from the Rockland Mine, located 6 miles south of Emery, Utah at an elevation of 6,600 feet above sea level. The humus is placed in large food grade vats and covered with cool, catalysed, contaminant free water that gradually leaches the minerals from the humus. This simple process extends over a period of weeks during which time the vats are undisturbed so as to prevent unnatural or forced extraction of dissolved mineral solids. Nothing such as citric acid or hot water is used to force mineral extraction and nothing is added to the product, not even colour. It is one of the purest and most natural products on earth.

Each quart of '77' Minerals contains approximately 38,000 milligrams of 7 major minerals and 70 trace minerals. These '77' Minerals seem out of proportion when you realise that our fruits, vegetables and grains of today contain an average of no more than 16 to 20 minerals. Even our meats and dairy products lack the minerals they contained a few short generations ago.

'77' Minerals can help supplement a body's daily mineral needs and because its minerals come from plants, it is one of the most absorbable nutrients one can take.

Common Questions About Minerals

1. What are minerals?

They are elements, along with carbon, from which all living matter is constructed.

2. How many of these minerals are there in the body?

Over 60 have been identified (70+ available in Organic Minerals™)

3. Why are minerals essential?

As well as oxygen, the body must have a full spectrum of minerals to experience full health. Two-time Nobel Laureate Dr. Linus Pauling and others are convinced that every sickness, disease and every ailment is linked to a mineral deficiency or imbalance. It is said that vitamins, enzymes and anti-oxidants do us little or no good if we lack minerals. They all act as co-factors. Even Farmers and vets know that our plants are not enough to raise healthy animals and always supplement from birth with major minerals, trace minerals and vitamins.

4. How can I get minerals into my body?

We should be able to get all the minerals we require from the food that we eat, but even organic food now has only 15 to 25 minerals, due to soil depletion. Years of natural erosion and over farming have left most of our food mineral-deficient. An official government report has stated, "The soil is seriously deficient in minerals".

5. What about the mineral tablets and bottled water, I buy from the shops?

These are not intended for the human body. They are inorganic and not readily assimilated by the body because of their electrical charge and size. The electrical charge of the body's cells is positive '+' and the charge of inorganic metalic minerals is also positive '+' and two like charges always repel.

It is known that on average, approximately 8% of the minerals in tablets and in water, are absorbed into the body, the rest are excreted via the urine.

6. What are colloidal minerals?

These are particles of minerals that are up to1,000 times smaller than inorganic minerals. Colloidal is the form of mineral found in plants and carries a negative (-) charge. This negatively charged form of mineral allows for easy assimilation into and use by the body (up to 98% absorbable).

7. Why do we need Organic Minerals?

As well as the major minerals such as calcium, magnesium etc. there are 70 essential trace minerals such as Selenium and Copper. These minerals are all required to fulfill various roles in the body. A good example of how they work together can be seen from the major mineral calcium, which also needs the trace mineral boron as a co-factor before it can be assimilated into the bones. It is still not known just what all these trace minerals do. Research is continuing to ascertain which ones are essential. Until then it makes sense to take the full spectrum of minerals as insurance, as nature intended. We do know that many of the minerals are needed as co-factors with the vitamins to perform their specific function. A deficiency in any mineral can have a detrimental effect on the human body.

8. Can I get all the minerals I need, in tablet form, from the Health Shop?

Unfortunately the answer is no!
